Default baileys diverter valve, "reverse" orientation, intakes

I just bought a 2003 A4 1.8t Quattro manual transmission yesterday and was planning on putting in the 710N DV that everyone seems to highly recommend. However, when I looked at my DV I already had a Bailey's motorsport DV30 diverter valve in there.
From what I gather reading this forum, installing the diverter valve in the "reverse" from oem orientation improves efficiency? is that correct?
also, some people say it makes the sound louder?
my main question is, does anyone know if it would be ok to put my Bailey's DV30 in the "reverse" position from oem as well? i seem to have recalled reading that some diverter valve designs are different from others? ie: piston design vs. ???(can't remember)
call me an amateur but this is my first turbo car and i'd like to hear the sound of the turbo spooling and pressure releasing a bit more...at least for now! i know that bov's are bad for audi's, but from what i gather reading the forum, I can get a decent sound from just a reverse orientation diverter valve with an intake. does it have to be a cold air intake or would just a short ram intake produce the same desirable (by me at least) noise?
i know evoms and carbonio are the main popular cold air intakes...but are there any recommended short ram intakes?
additionally, is the possibility of hydrolock a very real concern with the evoms and carbonio cold air intakes?
Sorry for the barrage of questions...I tried my best to read through the forums and not ask typical repeated questions by newbies but I couldn't find a clear cut answer to these questions. Any help at all would be very VERY appreciated!!!! Thank you all so much for the help!!!

Call your shop on that. I wouldn't screw with it. And if you have a stainless steel DV in there then you are good. The DV is for reliability and blow off valves are just gay.
