BTW, what is upsolute stage 1? What company? Anyways, you can upgrade to stage 1+ with bigger injectors + new sway bars

I spent way more time investigating which tuning co. to go with than I should have more than likely. They all seemed pretty close. Came recommended from an Audi dealer's counter guy who swore up and down about them and new a hell of alot more about performance tuning than I ever will so I researched them and found comparison torque and hp dyno graphs that showed identical if not slightly more impressive results than the giac x. thats why I ended the quest with www.upsolute.com. Love the way the car performed immediately...completely different car. I liked the fact that they BDM the chip and not just flash it. Old-School appeal. I sent my ECU to the north am upsolute rep Rene Berube. Out of my car and back in 60 hours. Couldn't believe the difference. No local reps for me but I have another car so didn't mind sending it out. Stage 1? I guess its because when I sent it out I had zero mods and sans the 710 dv and darintake w/K&N drop-in, it is still stock. Don't quite have the $flow for the more serious stuff atm. BTW would I need to upgrade exhaust when doing the injectors and re-program?

It seems like they dont have stage 1+ listed. No you dont need to upgrade your exhaust, but it is recommended for the better flow. The biggest restriction in our exhaust system =CATS. That's why people get Testpipes. But it is illegal in the most of the states. You can always go custom route to make an exhaust (you can keep your cats). That would be much cheaper.

Good enough for me. In MN I do not know of any emissions testing whatsoever may be laws on not removing the cat but there is no enforcement. So I'll order testpipe today. Thinking the VMR testpipe alot of guys on Audizine use them, looks as well designed and executed as the more expensive options. $101.00 shipped w/both flange gaskets and stainless hardware.

So u dont have ANY emissions in MN? or only thru the OBD port? Cause u might get a CEL after TP.

I'm sure there are emissions standards but no testing or any enforcement that I've ever experienced. Can't bear the thought of having that CEL glaring at me though. You know of anyways to avoid the cel?

U better find for sure if u dont have any emission tests. Anyways, i know if u get Apr stage 1+ or Revo stage 2, their program automatically erases the CEL caused by the TP. You can also try that o2 sensor extension (non fouler)- but sometimes it doesnt work.

Will do. Going to contact upsolute today and see if they have a tp file. Been driving MN roads for 16 years never heard of an emissions test. Gonna check it out anyhow. Thanks man.
