Default apr boost gauge install and first boost leak

after long last, my apr boost gauge arrives... after about an hour its finally installed (minus lighting, imma have to ask onepoint8tee about that)

as soon as i start it up i notice idle is only 10in HG... hmm weird, take it out for a spin with a few wot, and nothing i mean nothing higher than 7-8psi and i can DEF hear a leak... bah

so i make my trip back home and viola... the hose clamp on my original vacuum hose wasn't tightened enough by yours truly... so i buy some zip ties to fix the problem... unfortunately the engine is still a bit too hot to work

with only boosting 7lbs, im starting to remember how boring this car is with stock boost

Did you get the pillar pod or vent pod?

For the vent pod you can just tap off the vent lights like i did.

Let us know what you boost after fixing the leak.

Where did you mount the guage? Is it a pillar, vent, or console?

if your car is cold your guage will not read 20 hGin right away, when my car is cold my guage reads anywhere from 10-15hGin and after its warm it stays on 20

its in the vent gauge... i fixed that one vac line, but now i'm boosting a little higher, like 9-10 (couldnt really see it was getting dark), but i can still hear the turbo like there is a leak... i think ill cut a little offa the braided vac line, and then reattach it to the t connector

Well if the line going to the guage isn't pinched or leaking at the guage then maybeyour vac lines are falling apart causing a leak.

possibly.. when i cut the original line off of the intake manifold, the tip was brittle as hell.... ill try cutting a bit more off the tip, then reattach everything. if that doesnt work, i'm going to be going nuts all day
