Default Car cover

Ok so quick question, story first. I went to the stealership to look for a car cover and base carriers for my car, found out that they did have the base carriers but did not have a cover for my B6, since the B5's mirrors are a little smaller I ordered the B7 one for my car. Does anyone here have a cover for their B6? Does it work properly or is a pain for the mirrors? Is the B7 gonna fit the B6? Any input or none at all is appreciated. Thanks.

I believe there is a "reverse" setting on the inside with your mirror controls that folds them down so they are barely 4" sticking out on either side of the car.

I used this trick to be able to store my A6 in a car cover that was made for a toyota camry but wasn't quite wide enough.

Yeah I know about the retractable mirrors, but the cover I'm getting is the ones that can just open the velcro and drive it around and you can see the plate too, so it has room for the mirrors. That's why I don't remember when the generation of the B6 started/ended as I ordered the one from a 2005, which I think is a B7.

If someone here else has any advice, how about if the car is gonna be stored for 6 months, someone is going to start the car regularly and move it around, but it won't be driving around regularly. Any preservatives that need to be added into the gasoline tank? Something???

They have some decent ones from empire. their website has a computer generation tool so you can see what the cover looks like on and off the car pretty cool.
