Car Overheating.
While i was driving home from work, i notice first that my heating gauge was all way up and i looked to see if i had any lights but nothing, so i soon i pull over light comes on and i get a cel to with that. Thanx god i was in the neighborhood and did not had to tow the car. I pop the hood i and see the fans spinning crazy. I dont know what could it be till i scan the car, but the question that i want to ask is that are this the symptoms of the water pump ??? Could it be a sensor. Also i check it the reservoiri have coolant in there..
Car has 80000 miles im not sure if the previous person done it but i haven't done anything yet.
How many miles were on the car when you got it? If you have had it for any amount of time I would guess they did not do the t-belt service. OE says up to 105k miles depending on what year, but most of the guys around here say 65k to be safe and anything over 80k is rolling the dice. I bought mine with 88k miles on it and couldn't get the job lined up to do it with a good mechanic until 92k and my belt was cracked/splitting at every tooth.
Guessing you need to dig in! Hope you have a local independant or don't mind a few hours in the garage....
Reading original post again you say the fans were spinning, could it be a sensor etc. Really sounds like water pump. All the system say the car knows the engine was hot. Gauge said so, fans said so as they were spinning and you are in the interval to change a waterpump/timing belt.
Good luck and keep up posted.

When i got the car was at almost 71 and i haven't been using it a lot. Well since i got it i have change the fuel pump, fuel filter, spar plugs and coils and couple air pump check valves one after one. I really like the car but everytime i drive it something would come up, its really getting on my nerv.
Well i took the car to the autozone today and scanned and i get P0117...Engine Coolant Temp Circuit Low Input so i bought the part and thinking to installed. As i was reading on the forums could be the water pump too which im not in the mood for that right now. I hope its just the sensor for now cuz the car its going to be seating in the garage for while till i make some money to fix it and then sell it. I have a toyota and mazda and i have had not a bit of problems over the years.

So i came to a conclusion that its not the sensor whos making the problem but its the water pump which could be out. After changing the sensor the problem did not go way, car was still overheating. So its time to do some hard work.
Where do i find a good web to buy the timing belt kit??
Any recommendations?
Thanks.
