Car shaking only when I turn the ignition off
Hi Lads,
I'm new to this forum. Wanted to ask, my car shakes everytime I turn the ignition off. It also makes a kind of whirling sound when I go up the gears. I thought it was the gearbox (dual-mass fly wheel) and so does one mechanic I went to see but I don't trust him too much. Also another guy who is a panel beater thinks it could be the shaft between the two front wheels attached to the gear box that's making it shake. The gear stick also moves when I take my foot off the gas and back on. I've had the mountain bushin replaced on it but I don't want to fork out the mother load for a duall mass fly wheel and find out it made no difference. Has anyone got any ideas?
I know its a long shot but hopefully its happened to someone. Besides that the car is in perfect nick and it never conks out, drives perfect.
Cheers,
Locky

Its a 2002 a4 1.9 TDI. 130BHP. I brought it to a guy who's meant to be very good. He told me the oil put into the car during my last service was not light enough and that I needed W10 extra light oil for TDI engines. The noise was my turbo kicking in but it didn't sound good and I was worried. Also, the engine is shaking because it needs new engine mounts on both sides. not very important unless its annoying me. I'll probably get it done though.#
