Does anyone know how to remove the cigarette socket from the piece of plastic its in?? mine isnt the type that flips its just there, Ive researched and ive made several attempts, but nothing has worked. Any help is appreciated thanks in advance.

if you look down into the socket you will see slots along the walls. pry them up and it should slip out. i dunno about audi but thats how its done on other vehicles

 

remove the shifter bezel the radio and the temp unit ,remove the 8 mm head bolts to ash tray pull it out reach in and find the white connecter and plug it back into lighter plug mine was disconected took me hours to figure it out . im a tech for case agriculture
