Default Cleaning Air Intake Temp sensor - A4 1.8T

I tried searching but with no luck...

I cleaned the throttle body and MAF sensor the other day and decided to take a look at the air intake temp sensor while I was at it and it was pretty dirty. I tried cleaning it with the MAF sensor cleaner but it didn't do a very good job. Can I clean it with something else that will get all the junk off of it better? I don't want to use any sort of brush or rag for fear of damaging some of the wires, unless its safe to do that.

Could I use a throttle body cleaner or something like that and then spray it down with the MAF cleaner to get everything off? I've also heard of putting it in a bad of isopropyle alcohol and giving it a few shakes.

What is the best way to get it really clean?

I don't know how tiny the space in on this, but maybe try a qtip soaked in electronic parts cleaner. If its a wire sensor like the MAF, don't do this, it could break the wire. Keep me updated, I'm interested in doing this myself.
