Default click when braking - front driverside

I just recently replaced my rotors and pads (3 months ago). And now i'm hearing a clicking noise (just one click) after I push on the brakes (probaly 3-5 seconds after the brakes are applied). I re-torqued everything and still there. Steering wheel doens't shake, no pushing to anyside when brakes are applied.

Any idea guys??

Many thanks in advance

aftermarket pads are clicking against the caliper, had this problem a thousand times..

the pads have little "hooks" on the sides, what fixed it for me is taking the pads off and wrapping those hooks with electrical tape a few times to make them fit more snugly. never had a problem since.

Thank you. I was suspecting it had something to do with the new pads I installed! I will try to do the same thing with the tape; just one quick question... whit the heat of the brakes, wouldn't the electrical tape melt?

i came up with that solution probably 6 months ago, havn't had a problem since..so i dont think its an issue. its just the hooks at both ends of the pad...they tend to click against the caliper...the tape just compensates for that extra space and prevents it from clicking.

if u dont want to use that method, just go to the dealer and get original pads

Did you guys just have this problem when pressing the brake or did you hear a noise while driving (without pressing the brake) as well. I just had a local Audi shop (not stealership) replace my rotors and brakes (EBC Red Stuff ceramic in the rear and Hawk Perforance in the front) a few months ago and now I'm hearing noises.
