Climate control replacement question
Hey guys I have a 2003 a4 1.8
I had a short in the radio from a bad install job and it fried the Climate Control. I replaced it with a good used one. Seems to function great all the setting work fans , from floor to defrost all engage. Just no cold air. They put the coolant in it but still does not get cold in the cabin.
I was told by my local mechanic that the new climate control would have to be reset by a Audi Dealer. Is that true?
The fans blow but air is hot. Also lines just before firewall are freezing up.
Thanks for any Help its hot for a man in the south

I have heard the a new Climate Control board does need to be setup/programmed. Not sure if that is VagCom capable or if needs dealer.
If the pipes are cold its all working except the flaps and that is part of the programming for the new control.
Is it hot enough to go to the dealer yet and just get it done?
