Code Blue!!!!!!
2002 A4 1.8T non-quatrro, CVT 99877mi
My car drove fine. then all of the sudden oil light comes on, and loud clicking comes from head. i assume no oil pressure due to no oil. i pull over and fill it full of oil. still.....hard clicking from cylinder head. no beuno. im kinda out of ideas. there is no oil on the belly pans, no oil on the ground where i park, tight oil pan nut. tight filter. no smoke or burning from exhaust. this is a very acute symptom. so it was fine one minute and not so fine the other minute. its sitting in a parking lot becuz i do not want to drive it due to risk of killing head or motor.
has any one every had this problom or know what it could be? or anything similar to this problom! please i need help!
my guess is the oil pump....

if it works sometimes and then it doesn't it is most likely the oil pick-up sucking up some sludge which is temporarily held in place and then after the car is shut off it falls back down into the pan only to be sucked back up again. Dropping the pan on is a pain in the ***...good luck....
