Is this the comfort control module??
Hi guys,
I am new to driving (1 year) and I have just got a Audi A4 B6 of my father before he passed away..
I am having a lot of issues with the car and I have taken it to multiple garages without little luck so far.
The wipers have not been working, they work then they stop, I took it to a garage who replaced the linkage/motor and the wiper stalk with no luck. But before I left he said that he spoke to a Audi repair service who said that it could be the Comfort Control Module causing the problem?? As the horn and the wipers do not work efficiently and this is common with this.
My question is, has anyone had this problem that could be related to this comfort control module??
I absolutely adore my Audi as it is the last gift from my father and really do not want to sell it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

on my 2004 a4 1.8tq the gasket under my ecu box was leaking. pulled the box up and re-seated the rubber box gasket. there is a J519 module right under the ecu in the driver's compartment which doesn't tolerate water. the wipers would misbehave. I replaced that with ebay used and the wiper problem went away. But, the water that killed my J519 also got into the carpet, and the convenience control module is under the carpet and when corroded causes many funny electircal problems. after (used) CCM replacement (and after J519), all is well.
The CCM is under the carpet about half way from the seat to the clutch pedal. pull the metal kick trim up, pull the carpet up there, and there is a black plastic box under there with the CCM in it. I actually paid a local german car guy to do it because he could change it by feel without out pulling up too much carpet. So I bought the used unit and paid him a half hour to do the job in 10 minutes, which I would have fooled around with for half a day.
