Coolant Leak Doing PCV Breather Replace
I FINALLY got the rear breather pipe, the one that goes from the "breather valve" (don't sat PCV valve, that's different) up to the 3-way hose at back of the cylinder head. Then, I heard a trickle and some coolant leaked out at the back of the head, maybe 2 - 3 cups.
I searched here and found that the coolant flange is the usual culprit. But if so, it started now, I had no prior coolant leak anywhere.
I removed the small bolt at rear of the cylinder head that holds the breather pipe on. Could it be that the bolt enters the head water jacket?
And I could have broken the coolant flange struggling with the breather pipe.
Any thoughts?
Thank you,
John

From pictures on the internet of the coolant flange from the back, it looks like the top bolt also holds the breather pipe. So, maybe the coolant flange is leaking from the o-ring to the cylinder head. And, when I replace the bolt to install the breather pipe, my leak will go away.
Also, many of us have replaced the breather pipe. Can anyone confirm that the coolant did not leak (or did)?
Many thanks.
