"Cooling performance issue"
Hey, I drive an '05 audi A4 1.8t quattro B6 USP, manual Trans.
I keep getting error code P2181 when i start my engine but it only happens on cold days. If i clear my codes everything runs fine and works properly for weeks or months until another cold day, then the code pops up again.
On days that the code pops up a few other symptoms are :
1.my temperature gauge on my cluster no longer reads accurately (says its still not up to temperature) then will suddenly jump to temperature after a few miles.
2.Auxiliary fan will kick in periodically
3. Slightly elongated crank time on start up (but that may be the battery as it only happens on cold days)
4. And check light, OBDII code P2181
Do you guys think it's the thermostat sticking? Or a CTS issue(currently have a green top)?
Oh and there are no leaks and fluid levels are all fine.
