Default CVT TCM replacement.....

Prretty new on this website and to the audi world...but ive spent a good amount of time reading on threads about tcm going bad and a pain to get them fixed...has anybody ever taken one off.doesnt look to bad to do,so far ive heard you have to drop the subfframe down and unbolt the casing on the transmission,is there anything else that makes this process difficult?im trying to get mine fixed and have this company who is going to repair it,just need to take it off...
