Default Driver's Side Window Switches

So today, very overcast in Florida, I decided to roll down the window to let a fly out. Next thing I know it starts drizziling and the window won't go back up.....

On the master switch the rear passenger window switches both work. The two front switches do not work on the driver's side. When I try and put them down nothing happens, no noise, nothing. However, the passenger side window switch does still work.

Using the locking feature from the outside using the key I was able to close the windows....

Do I just need to replace the master window switch on the driver's side? Or is something more complicated? Thanks for any help.

maybe try to unplug ur bat for like 30 mins. Butt make sure u have ur radio code for ur car cuz i know sometimes if u leave ur bat unplugged for a long duration of time it will turn the radio to safe mode. Also if unplugin ur bat works ur onetouch windows might not work after that so u hold down each window done sepratly and not all together for 30 seconds or a minute all the way down and up. Any more queations feel free to pm.

I'm not sure why that would do anything seeing as the buttons still have power because they still light up when the lights are turned on...

Yeah just sounds like you need to replace the switches, but you might want to have them tested first to see if maybe its just a contact issue.

As for the info about resetting the 1 touch, to do that you just hold the bottom to roll the window up for a few seconds after it has fully closed. No need to hold it for 30-60 seconds. I used to do this all the time because I always disconneted my battery while it was sitting in the garage or while it was on the trailer.

It just occured to me that this was the first time I used the window switches since I go my windows tinted...You saying contact issue made me think that they might have reinstalled the switches a bit off and when I put the window down the first time it knocked a wire loose or something...

If I follow the a4mods DIY to take off the door panel, what would I look for? Are there wires connecting to the switches that need to be attached or what?

Thanks for the input!

I replaced mine because I was having the same issues. These switches commonly go bad.

Good luck.

We also sell them and ship from here in CA not Hong Kong. LOL

We have been getting plenty of orders for the switchs, I guess with the age of the B6 plenty of them are going bad.
