Hi guys just joined and hoping to have some light shed. I have an issue with my 2001 1.9 TDI. When I lift off the accelerator at slow speeds in 1st/2nd I get a knock and feeling that the engine has moved havin scanned the car I get an engine mount fault. I went to order parts and my local VAG dealer wants nearly 300 quid for both mounts. I believe they are hydro mechanical and have electrical connectors on them, now I went to a online parts dealer and put my reg in and the mounts supplied are febi bilstein and half the price but have arrived and don't have electrical plug sockets on. Are they a direct replacement ? Can they be used or am I stuck buying from a dealer ? I tried to ask my local Audi garage and they told me they can only recommend genuine parts and don't have any ideas about any non VAG parts. Would love some advice thanks in advance 😃
