Engine noise whilst in drive on automatic
Hi,
Am wanting to buy an A4 Avant. Just been to look at one in good nick, done 110k, full audi service history. Drives beautifully.
However, when I pulled up I noticed a 'knocking/rattling' noise coming from engine when gear stick was in 'drive' and handbrake on. Soon as you blipped the throttle the noise went away and if gear stick was in neutral, it went away.
Noise seemed to be coming from the front of the engine (I think).
Engine sounded sweet when not in drive.
Any ideas? thanks
