Default Engine Shake...help***

Alright, so I recently lowered my car with coilovers about a month ago or so. I did it myself and all was great until a couple days ago. I was driving the speed limit (40mph), but I went over a railroad track kinda quick.....and ever since then if i accelerate or push on the gas at high rpms my engine feels like its shaking and just wants to jump out from under my hood. Even if I'm not at high rpms but still pushing on the gas I can feel a slight shake depending on the speed...the higher the rpm, the higher the shake...I drove it last night and the engine was shaking real bad when I was accelerating to 60mph, until after reaching like 80mph then it stopped shaking after awhile....

I spoke to a guy and he said it might be the motor mounts, however I'm not fully convinced that's what it is... I'm taking it to a local Audi shop on monday/tuesday.

any ideas? any input would be appreciated.

Well could be a couple of things...
engine mounts
snub mount
wheel bearings? i doubt it cuz you saying it starts shaking in high rpms.
look underneath your car or open your hood and look for any unusual color fluids (engine mounts). if yes, maybe that would be a good time to upgrade to some better mounts

Thanks for the input. It actually got worse yesterday. I began to have "clunks" while driving even at low rpm/speeds. However, I fixed that problem. I took apart my front suspension and found a problem there and re-did the whole coilover system in the front and that got rid of the "clunking." So now I can drive at least. At lower speeds/rpms with low acceleration (driving "normal"), it is perfectly fine, but when my engine is "on load" - on higher rpm/speeds with a stronger acceleration it shakes still....but the higher the speed and rpm the shake gets worst until I release the gas and drive "civil." Well, I'll get my wheels balanced and an alignment and see if that helps to cut out more possibilities....

Did you check the mounts?

no i haven't. I don't even know where all the mounts are, or have a diagram of the mounts. I guess i'll do some research on that and check it out.

To add on, I forgot to mention...when i was re-doing the front suspension, on the driver side, the boot to the inboard joint (i guess cv - opposite side from the wheel) was off and there was a lot of joint grease everywhere. Also, when I turn the wheel all the way (u-turn) it clicks. Could this be the issue? or just a whole other issue?

It seems to be the higher under load and speed (about 60mph) it shakes until i release the gas...I guess i'll continue ruling things out, etc. Thanks.

There's a mount at the front of the engine, that's the snub mount. The motor mounts are on the sides of the motor. I would fix that cv, that's probably your problem.

But i can only see the mounts from under the car right? I'll try to take a look at that later today.
Well the clicking from the cv joint I fixed, it wasnt the joint it was the outboard boot hitting the shock. I just pulled it back a little. I'll stil get the cv joint properly inspected and fixed.

That would be the snub, but actually I'm not sure the 3.0 has one.
