Default EPC and CEL lights on

2004 audi a4 quattro. Went to the manual car wash today to rinse off the snow and afterwards the EPC and CEL lights were on. Car still drives fine RPM's idled fine.. Opened up the hood and could see where the water leaked through and got some things wet. Any idea what this could be?

Have the code read for the engine light. Did the airbox/hosing get wet? CPU? Any vac leaks?

If the airbox/filter area got wet, then there is a possibility that the MAF sensor got wet. If so, this will cause the engine light and EPC to illuminate. You can wait it out and see if the lights go out on their own, (which will take alot of on and off cyles) or you can got to autozone and have the code reset. Unplugging the battery will not reset the codes on these vehicles! If the CPU is reset and the lights return, your MAF sensor could be toast.

Before you wash your car again you may want to check to make sure all your engine bay gaskets are in place!

We read the code and it was the engine throttle sensor, it had gotten wet from the wash. Just needed to be dried off and good as new! Thanks for all your help and replies!!!
