Default EPC and Check engine light w/ limited RPM's

I was driving around like normal last night on the highway at about 60mph and my EPC light came on along with my check engine light. I noticed my rpm's were limited to 4,000 and it would stall once or twice while i was driving but immediately start back up. After i stopped and let it sit for about 20 minutes, i started it up and the EPC light has been off ever since but the check engine light remains on. The limited rpm's at 4,000 are still there and it it stalled once again while driving it to Advanced auto parts today. There i had them check my ecu for codes and this is what they came up with:

DTC codes:

P0321
Ignition/Dist
Engine speed input
CKT Range/Perf

P0322
Ignition/Dist
Engine speed input
No Signal

DTC Pending codes:

P1296
Manufacturer control
Fuel air metering

Can anyone let me know whats going on here and what steps i should take to solving this problem?? I've only had my audi for a little while now and i love it death and i hate to see it like this... thanks

i belive u threw a coilpack. Your car has now gone into limp mode. U can go out and purchase new coils at an audi dealership if no audi dealership u can go to ecs tunning and get the hitachi e coils those wont ever go out i have them on my car for more then a year and no blown coils.

Thanks a lot for the help!!...So i looked at the hitachi e coils and was wondering what the advantages to the different stages were and if its worth the money getting the nicer ones. Also are the ignition coils something i can replace on my own and would i have to go to the dealer to the check engine light reset?

If the coils were the problem, wouldn't i have gotten cylinder misfire codes? my engine seems to be running fine w/o any misfires besides the fact its in limp mode right now... it has started hard once or twice and and i saw the tach bottom out momentarily today but rise right back up within seconds. i didnt feel the engine quit and it was running when the tach recovered... does any of this info help ?

hmm u might want to check ur vaccume lines also. There are also 5 sensors thoughout the vaccume system and those tend to corroide so check for that also. The coils stage 1 and stage1plus are virtually the same thing except for the the extra heatshield on the stage1plus. The other brands not to sure bout. as for the limp mode. U could also check ur maf. That is located in the front piping of ur airbox. Other then that all i can suggest is to search around typin in limpmode to see what other fixes are possible. the tach shooting up and down on rpms sounds like a coil or sparkplug. goodluck.

so i checked all the vacuum hoses and they seemed fine and i unplugged my MAF. I started the engine and it fired up but wouldn't run with out throttle input. I tried it a few more time with same results at ESP and CEL lights on. I plugged the MAF back it and still the engine wouldn't run w/o throttle input and same lights on. i let it sit for a few minutes and started it again and it fired right up and idled and ALL lights went out. The first time all the lights even the CEL went out since the problem arised... Just to make sure i did it a few more times and still no lights on

Anyone have any ideas of what could have caused this in the first place and if it might show up again soon?

i drove it around for about 20 minutes and while i was going to accelerate turning right on to a street, my EPC light only came on along with a lag in power soon followed by the CEL . I tried the MAF trick again but havent gotten it to work again

I also tried tapping the MAF with no change in rpm or anything thinking the MAF element may be loose... i have notice my engine is now idling at about 1,100 rpm as opposed to the normal 950 rpm and it is starting very rough. When i crank the engine, it turns over for a second or two and then it fires and then drops to like 400 rpm and recovers at 1,100 rpm
