Default ESP lights and misfire 2002 3.0L

Hello
It happened several times that suddenly the ESP light turn on (not by pushing the 'ESP off' button..) and then the idle RPM is not stable and can cause the engine to turn off.
This happens afer I turn the engine on and the ESP light disapears after driving few kilometers.

The mechanic told me to come when this happens, but till I get there the problem disapear..

Any suggestion?

Miron

I am not sure but It sounds like two isolated issues...I have the same problem with the traction control light it turns on (meaning its off, right) kinda randomly. Its irritating and frustrating but it goes away fairly quickly. Never had any engine related problems with it though. I did have misfires too but proven to be a completely different issue, now the misfire issues is totally fixed but that light comes on still every now and then. I think I am starting to notice...call me crazy... it comes on in warm weather only so far. Eventually it always goes away. sometimes 5min sometimes a day but never longer than that.

This is very interesting you say this because my passenger inner tail light does not work (the light closest to the trunk, theres like a dozen lights under there) even after I replaced it. You are saying that the ESP light and the brake light are related!?!?! I can't say i'm not suprised we are talking about germans here but good god can that really be possible? So what is your theroy on curing the problem... I'd be down to try anything I suppose.
