ESP switch peels... how to replace it?
I think it is a common issue to Audi, interior paint for switches/bottons peeling. I never touched the ESP button before and it just started peel. ECS sells replacement for it. Anyone know how to replace it?
Thanks.
Thanks.
i replaced mine last summer. you dont have to pull the radio out or dash apart, there are clips on the top and bottom of the button.
if you have a replacement switch, take a peak at their position (or google image search for one, lots of pics). all you need is a really skinny flat head to get in there and depress the top clip, and pull forward carefully. just be careful to not chew up the dash above it.

Thanks guys. I was able to swap it out pretty easily.
I decided to remove the top trim piece first. I used a paint can opener to "hook" the back of the trim and pulled forward. If you open up the glove box, you get get a hold of it.
Once the trim piece was off, I used a small screwdriver to press down the silver clip like ilackav8 mentioned. Little damange done to the button I'm replacing, but none done to the trim or dash. Here's a pic for those yet to replace it.

No screws. The trim is just held on by some clips. It took quite a bit of force to pop the first clip off, then the rest were a bit easier. Start near the glove compartment.
