ok - i finally got smart. I dumped my 08 Jetta 2.5 a/t for a 5 sp 04 A4 ultrasport. I'm fishing for some good starters on what I can do to this vehicle to tune the peformance of the engine. I checked the air filter and it's obviously time for a new one - i'll probably go k&n. The plugs are iridium and appear new. Overall the car is straight with the exception of the clutch feels weak and the gears aren't always friendly. Anyone have this vehicle or LKQ that knows about commonalities with the turbo system not performing or having deadspots in the powerband? Feedback and opinions would be greatly appreciated - i'd like to have some good times with this - thanks

Search the forum. You will find a lot of different routes people have taken. It all depends how deep your pocekts are? What do want to reach as far as power? As someone said before. "There are many ways to the top of the mountain but the view from the top is the same."

Basis (most popular) mod since you got a turbo car- is chip. Then like kwik_shift said it all depends how much $$$ you wanna spend

A chip, intake and exhaust would do you wonders.

I definitely appreciate the responses. I like the chip, intake and exhaust - maybe even a test pipe, idea. We don't have emissions here in Florida so I can't imagine that would cause me any grief. I'm getting the hang of the cars itself so it's growing on me that I like it enough to put some time into it. I'm naive about the chip for the A4 - I had an F250 one time that had an ODBII port for reprogramming the computer - is the A4 the same way?
