Question A few questions

Hey Guys

1: I have a weird case of disappearing coolant. I have absolutely no smoke, no leaks, nothing. However, i keep having to top off my coolant once every 2 months. I can also smell a faint coolant smell when the car is warm, outside of the car. Where could it be going?

2: I want to get a turbo for my CVT. Nothing HUGE, just something a little extra. Is that advisable, or can the stock one be tuned to give more power?

3. Having a CVT, do I need to do tranny flushes, or is the fluid supposed to be good forever?
Thanks guys.

Do not mod a cvt car. Those transmissions cant even handle the stock hp.

Check the top of the trans passenger side for gunk. The coolant flange leak can be pretty stealthy.

You likely have a small coolant leak somewhere that only leaks under pressure after driving for a bit, and it might be dripping on the exhaust and burning away, hence the smell. You should see some pink buildup anywhere coolant leaks.

Thx for the replies.
I knew CVT were moody. Mine has been very good to me, however. I plan on trading it in once paid.. I guess it will have to stay how it is....

But do I do a tranny flush on the cvt or not? I have heard from a couple of places that the fluid in the cvt is "lifetime" fluid.
