Default Fuel leak

Hi all,

Hoping someone on here will be able to help me.

I have 1.8t with quite a bad fuel leak. I've found the pipe where it's leaking from underneath the body near the fuel tank, but it's not connected to anything, see pic.

Should this be connected to something or is this an overflow or something, meaning I have a problem somewhere else?

Any help appreciated, cheers.

Are you sure this is the source of your fuel leak? Where does the other end connect to not shown in the picture?
It's hard to tell from the picture but it looks more like a flexible hose which is usually not used underneath the car. Under the car they usually have solid lines and a fuel filter in between before going under the hood and connecting to a fuel pressure regulator.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes definitely, if I pull it down out of the clips it pours out. The other 2 pipes are solid metal pipes, this is plastic but it is rigid.

I haven't had chance yet to see where it ends up going to, that will have to be the weekend now.
