Fuel Tank/Diagnostics problem..please help!
I filled up my tank last week (B6 3.0 Quattro) right about when my fuel light (1/8 tank left) came on, yet it only took like 9 gallons to fill. When I got into the car (had the radio on) the gauge read 3/4 full..thought maybe the nozzle shut off. So I began to pump again, but the sensor shut off, since it really was full.
Got back in, turned instrument lights off, then on, and the gauge read full. So, as always, I reset the trip.
Re-filled today (after driving only 120 miles) and the fuel light came back on, had 1/8 tank left (just like last week). And it only took 8.705 gallons before the nozzle stopped. Got into the car, and gauge again read 3/4 tank full. I averaged just under 14mpg (city driving, and only living 1mile from work, going back and forth 6 days a week.)
I had the fuel pump and fuel filter replaced a month ago (car died due to bad fuel pump), and had an o2 sensor near the catalytic converter replaced as well.
Any relation to this? Anyone have an idea of what's going on? Sensor in the gas tank bad???? Any help is appreciated!

I'm having this same issue. It's been annoying. Let me know what you come up with. Was the fuel gauge sensor 500 for the part and install or just part?
I'm also having the problem with the fuel door light staying on (I believe its the fuel door).
