Default Getting CHIPPED today...any final advice?

I decided to take the plunge- going with APR for my 2005 A4 1.8T. Hope I don't regret this! Car is still under extended warranty but APR has a sale now (fully loaded ECU for $499) which includes stock mode- so i can switch it to dealer setting for servicing etc.

The mechanic assured me that on the 05 models, I don't need to upgrade the diverter valve-apparently audi upgraded the valve.

Anything else I should ask him about?

hmm thats weird, never heard that the 05 upgraded the dv. i would double check that. You should be fine with that, but maybe carry a spare coilpack.

Injectors, get injectors. APR will try to sell them to you for $500, but they can be had as low as $350. They are the Stock injectors for the Audi TT 1.8T 225HP

Version 91 octane 93 octane cost
Stage I 209hp/236lb-ft 215hp/245lb-ft Y $499.00
Stage I+ 229hp/271lb-ft 235hp/275lb-ft Y $499.00*
* Stage I+ requires either APR or Bosch Fuel Injectors, which are available from APR for $500

Seconded on the coil pack, and forgot to add, if you don't get the injectors today, ask how much it is to upgrade the software to the new file (if any cost) when you do get them.

Definately get the injectors updated. I did the APR Stage 1 + and picked up 87hp and 89lbs of tq on my 2004 1.8T Auto

sounds like you guys have had trouble with the coilpack after chipping? Hmm...I'm not sure if this is going to be more trouble than its worth......

So far mine have held up- wonder if Audi fixed the coilpack issue on the later b6s.

Do I have to get oilchanges more frequently after chipping? Now I do them every 10K - basically follow the service schedule.
