Going to look at an '03 A4 tomorrow, what should I look for?
Hi all!
I'm going to look at an A4 to purchase tomorrow. The car has 76,000 miles on it. They say that the timing belt has been replaced. Are there any other specific areas that I should be sure to check on these cars?
Overall it looks like its in awesome condition (from pictures online). The carfax is clean and it looks like it was regularly serviced and well taken care of.
I appreciate any info you can provide.

Audi for ever!!!!
ive tried the link mate. think the car been sold or u bought it. i bought an audi a4 b6 quattro 1.8 turbo 2001 100400miles. i checked the car in and out, payed £2400 for the guy wanted £3000 for it..check for oil leaks under bonnet and press the spanner button on dashboard near clock for any sighns of failures as it will show. make sure everything is in working order, check all wheels and bearing exhaust, underneath drive it try clutch and brakes listen for any noises. these cars are built for ever i had a subura 2.5wrx 2006, never again Audi's all the...good luck mate. Be cautious wehat your buying. O and remove oil cap from, engine and see what colour u have if milky maybe water gettin into the head. and check water bottle to signs of oil...

Start off asking for service records and then testing every button, switch, and accessory (even if you have to pull out the owner's manual to determine what they do). Drive it up to speed on a level surface and brake medium-hard to see if it pulls. Drop by an Autozone (on your test drive) and see if it has any stored codes. Have them run it up on a lift and check the suspension, power train, and exhaust for anything suspicious. Best insurance is to find someone who knows Audis and pay them for an independent inspection. Last, 11k seems a little high. I paid $13k for an A4 3.0 MT6 with 69k miles almost three years ago, and it had the premium and winter packages, Bose, 17" rims.
