Good buy? and I would like some advice on mods :)
hi so im looking into buying a 2004 a4 off a buddy of mine, all but the sound system and exhaust is stock and it has 60,000 miles on it and he's asking $7k. Is it worth it? If i get this im looking into buying a rs4 body kit for it. If you havent seen it before here is a link to the only place ive found that sells it: Audi A4 B6 and Audi S4 B6 RSfour Body Kit Styling and aftermarket parts by Hofele
Has anyone done this before? Is there anywhere else I can find it for cheaper?

Man I'm getting old.. The only thing I keep thinking when looking at your project plans is that by the time you're done, you're going to be VERY lucky if the upgrades only total half of the car's worth.
My experience is that no matter how much you spend, fiberglass kits NEVER fit exact so there's going to be a lot of work/time/money spent to get the gaps correct and the pieces from bowing, etc.
Paint is another factor, you're not going to be taking it to Maaco for a $300 job right? A good paint job is like $3-$4k and again, we're taking about fiberglass so expect that to spiderweb, crack and flake in 1-2 years.
I've been down this road with another car I had, long story short it sat in a barn in pieces for 4 years because the buddy helping me lost his motivation after competing his wide body RSX and I didn't have enough cash to get it done professionally.
Don't get me wrong, I think you should pursue the A4 and enjoy the hell out of it but if it was me it sould be as-is. If you're taking on an extra project like that make sure to have your money set aside and in hand, buddies lined up and confirmed or shop time booked before you loosen the first screw.
