Default Headlight chime not working

I have an 05 A4 B6 1.8T automatic that doesn't chime when you open the door and the headlights are on. I know the chime works because if I leave my seatbelt off, it dings. Is this a common problem on the car?

Well the plot thickens now. I just took a ride with my seatbelt off, and the chime doesn't go off. I also reached the "get gas soon" level and it did not ding for that either. Sounds like a bad relay or fuse. Anyone know what fuse that's on or how to get to the relay?

Bumping this up. Googling only turns up people wanting to turn the chime off.

The chime doesn't work at all though. No warning beeps for low fuel or problems with the vehicle or the headlights being left on. The headlights one bothers me the most. I've left the headlights on multiple times because there was no audible warning.

I have the same issue. And running APR it reverts to normal tune if I left the light on over night and the battery drains. Just a pain to remember you left the light on. I remember 90% of time, but then sometimes it gets you when you list expect it. Like in a mall with two shopping bags and looking for someone to jump start you?

Does anyone have diagram where the fuse is for this or an reley?

Any help appriciated!

Thanks,
Dave

I have the same problem. I noticed it when the headlight-on beeps were gone. But now it appeared not beeping at all for anything, seat belt, key in car .... I'm suspecting it's the bad beep speaker at the back of the instrument cluster. I'll check it out this weekend, since I have to to do lcd repair too.
