They they ran tha car and tried to duplicate tha light coming bacl on. and then thry shop took it out for a drive in the light came on and cut the car off and and it hasn't started since. The are telling me tha car may have a blown engine. Is there any advice there for me,

I would start by getting the engine codes read. Until you read the codes you really don't know what's happening, or what's happened to your car.

Find a good indie repair shop that knows something about Audis, and have it towed there and looked at. The diagnosis of a blown engine seems mighty suspicious for not pulling any codes first. Unless, of course, they heard or did something that indicates your engine seized up.
