Default Help.....Brakes...

Hi, now i'm not a expert with cars so your help will be much appreciated, my brother in-law has recently repalced the front pads on my 1.9 TDI sport, 54 plate but after 2 weeks and as I press the brake peddle there is a sharp knock/tick although somthing is sticking/releasing, now this only happenes when the brakes have warmed up?
This has been going on for around a month now so I gave him the car back to have a look, he striped the breaks down and put them back on only to find the same problem, he's not a mechanic so is left scatching his head.

Any idea's before I put it in the garage to see if they can find a fault?

Regards
Daz.

I would double check all the springs and clips, also the pins that the caliber slides on need to be well lubricated. Had this issue with my superduty. Not sure if this helps with your tdi as I have not taken one apart but just good things to look for.

that small spring clip that holds the pads. If that is not 100% in u will get that clank. Try squirtting some wd40 on it.
