Yeah, a little piece of audi crap plastic broke on your window regulator. Happened on my back window. The regulator is around 150 I think. dont know about labor b/c I have not replaced mine yet. For now if you remove the door pannel you will see the broken green plastic piece (able to be replaced on the B7, not the B6), I was able to secure the window in the up position with some rope untill I can replace the part.

Happened to me on my way home the day I bought the car from a used dealer. I gota suction cup used to hang stuff on glass. Just used both hands on each side of the glass and lift and then stick the suction cup down at the bottom of the glass. Kept the window shut until it was fixed. I never asked what it costto fix it. The salesman said he never had that happen before on a Audi....I come to audi forums and find out it is common.

Samething happened to me last night my friends were screwing around with the back window and the window wont go up anymore, took the door apart and the GREEN PLASTIC is broken, I dont know if they sell this part by it self or if i have to get the whole window regulator. I will see tomorro when I go to the stealership.

Is there a thread with common problems? I had never heard of this and now I see it is very common. So on the list of things to look out for I have my Driver Info Screen, Turbo Oil Coking, the plastic coating on the buttons coming off, and now window tabs.

Any others?
