hi all this is my first time on here i have a problem with my drivers window it goes down ok but sometimes when it goes up is stops and then goes back down , ive had a new window regulator fitted on Saturday and it still does it so any help would be great

A4 tdi sport on a 54 plate

 

I've found that if/when mine does this, it also disables the auto up/down feature. Roll that window fully down and back up holding the switch fully seated the whole time. Do this 2 times in a row and it should re-calibrate where the window stops up and down and should re-enable the auto up/down feature.

 

thanks i did what you said but it stills plays up so im now thinking it might be the switch playing up

 

Have you checked to make sure your cable is not binding? Mine started doing the same thing and the cause is the window regulator cable catching in the reel.
