how can open the hood without the hood latch connected... we disconected it when we took front end off doing timing job... put bumper and everything back on and forgot to connect the hood release cable and closed the hood... so how can i go about opening the hood without damaging anything?

 

I did the same thing the first T-belt job I did. You can reach up from under the car to the hood latch and there is a lever on the bottom to open the hood. At least it is like that on my 02.

 

Happened to me also after having the front end in the service position the hood release cable popped out pf the hood latching mechanism.I couldn't find a release lever so I put the cable back in the latch.Hard to get to and had to do it my feel.
