Recently I bought Audi A4 2001 1.9TDI 131HP, used one, but in pretty good condition.


I wonder how to check the fuel consumption (litres per 100km ) on the board computer. I don't have owners manual, but I know that there is a way to check this information (friend of mine told me he was able to check on his car - older model of Audi A4).

If you can provide any download links for owners or any kind of manual, I would appreciate it a lot. I'm curios to see what else info can be checked from the board computer (i.e. temperature of the motor, rpm and etc.)

The toggle button on the end of the windshield wiper switch stalk? That' show mine operates.

Can you give me more specific instructions? what buttons to trigger in which order?
I was playing previously with the wind shield wiper switch but without result.

 

its on the end of stalk for the windshield lever. There is a button on the very end. . . . Dont get much more simple then that.

 

You should be able to toggle through several options (miles per liter, average speed, time, etc) and reset each one by depressing and holding that toggle button for 2-5 seconds.


I find the computer to be wildly optimistic about gas "mileage". Mine computes about 24-26 mpg while the manual method (mileage/gallons) is about 2 mpg less.
