Default how difficult is it to...?

so my low oil pressure light has been on and now my car sounds like a diesel....im told be a lot of people that its the oil pick up tube thats the problem, its being blocked by sludge or gasket material or god knows what. i was wondering how difficult it is to replace the oil pick up tube on a 2002 a4 1.8T. also i may need to replace the timing chain tensioner, anyone know how hard that is to do? i just replaced the clutch myself and that took me a while and i use the garage at my school (theres only one month left till i graduate) so i need to know how time consuming these things are. i usually spend around 2 hours a day in there during school. is this something i can knock out in 3 days or 3 weeks? any help is greatly appreciated!!!

no i just drove it to my school and ive been working on it since...the deisel sound is much quieter after putting in a new valve cover gasket and new plugs, but its still there. i have a new oil pick up tube on order which should be here by saturday. after i install the new pick up tube do you think that it should run like normal again? that is if i didnt cause any damage to the engine....
