Well, I would hope no one here would help you do that.... There's a reason for the rev limit.

Why do you want to go any faster? Our cars are not fast, they're just luxury sport, sport doesn't mean fast all the time. Anyways, the rev limiter gets taken out with a performance chip, but you shouldn't try it just because is an audi, if you want to go fast, buy a rice rocket or something and go fast on the track.

Yes because history says that an Audi is not a race car. Time for you to brush up on your Audi history Dan.

Any car can be made into a race car, if I had listed to people say that it couldn't be done I wouldn't own an A4 1.8t that does 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds, 0-110 in under 7 seconds, 1/4 mile in 10.5 seconds at 135+ mph and that wouldn't be any fun.

Mike.. That wasnt my point - and I believe you knew that...

IF he was a racer he would know if there was a limiter set @130mph, not 'heard about'. He would also know about 'chipping' to remove it... In fact, he wouldnt really be 'stock' at all... Tint, 18" wheels, and a 'K&N' dont count as 'race'.

If he IS a racer, he should have said so. Street Racer looking to get killed also doesnt count.

I know, but we are talking about a 130 mph speed limiter. If they wanted us to keep us from speeding wouldn't you think cars would come with a 70 mph speed limiter? Oh wait that would mean cities wouldn't have a huge income from writing speeding tickets.

Well, they put a limiter on it due to several things.. like having cheap tires from the factory - easily taken care of. More important is the aerodynamics and suspension reactions to road undulations.. either of which could seperate you from the Earth

130MPH is anyways too fast for an unexperienced driver, like most of the kids that own our cars nowadays...

A4s and A6s come with an electronic governor at 133mph. And, yes, a chip or ECU re-programming can remove it. My A6, equipped with proper tires, can hit 150+. However, there is not much point in chipping a 3.0l engine for the number of times you need to exceed 133. Honestly, I tested mine after it was chipped 4 years ago and have not been over 120 since.
