So last night in a sober stupor I carelessly ripped the lower valance off my front bumper. I managed to clip enough of it back on to drive it safely but it does need to be replaced. Just wondering if this has happenned to anyone else out there and ifso, what parts did you have to replace.

to be honest i did the same thing over once. the curb was just higher than i expected, and i went over just fine, but got caught on the way out. the easiest and cheapest way out is some well placed zip ties.

Take it to a body shop and have them Glue and bolt it back on. They have some magic black glue that works well.

Not really a fan of zip tieing and gluing stuff back together. there was way too much damage for a light repair job. Next time I'm staying the hell way from curbs.

man how fast did u back out. u should get a usp front if u are replacing everything.

Like I said, I'm an idiot. I had just finished my shift and was eager to get home. I heard the grinding when I eased out slowly and knew te front was hooked on the curb. Inwasnt thinking and figured that I could ease out slowly since there was no one around to help me. In these cases you need someone to lift the front so you can back out safely.

Long story short, it cost me the entire front end and it was an expensive lesson to learn.

If you don't have a belly pan, STAY THE **** AWAY FROM CURBS!!

I did the same thing a few weeks ago. Curb was hidden by snow. I was able to track down all the part numbers that I needed. Total cost was about $175. If you have to replace the lower grilles, that's gonna be another $150. If anyone needs the parts list, let me know.

However, I'm having some trouble snapping the valance back on. I'm not sure how to navigate the section I circled on the pic. The valance is supposed to snap behind the black plastic square, but I've been unable to do so.

Anyone have any ideas?

You need a thin wood or plastic board to slide between the car and the parkig curb. I keep one of those thin fiberwood dog door inserts in my trunk.
When I go over the curb, I slide it between car and curb BEFORE I back out. Fix your front end more than twice and you will too.
