Default Injectors and APR Stage1+ - Question

I recently did Stage 1 on my 2002 audi. APR wants 500 for the injector upgrade. Are these special or can you use something like a Bosch 386. I found some 386's for 62 a piece which would be a heck of a lot less than the $500.

Once the injectors are installed, I assume that the car needs to be reprogrammed - correct?

Thanks for the help. J

Where did you find them for $62/ea? Are they new or used? Are there any more?

You can use Bosch(don't know the part #), APR or Siemiens. IMO go with TT squiters. APR's you have to tap and drill for their injectors. If you mess that up and drop some shavings, your screwed.

When installed yes, Apr or your local shop does a reflash for a different file for more fuel called 1+. If your already stage 1, they should only charge you 1/2 hr labor if that. Bastards should do it for free.

doesnt it have something to do with the spray pattern of them? not too sure. i know if you go with the tt225 they have the same spray pattern as the originals.

one question, do you guys recommend doing a clutch before this? i have herd some people have their clutch start slipping after getting 1+

^only if your driving like a badass. The cluthes on the B6 are pretty good and you shouldn't have a problem.

Yea, APR recommends getting injectors from them and I've heard stories of people getting the business from them when trying to have them install ones sourced elsewhere.

I think the TT225 are the ones APR uses but not 100% sure.

As far as I know, the TT225 and the Genesis 380cc have the "OEM" spray pattern. The Siemens have a different spay pattern but have worked for some and not others. I'm fairly certain on that.

I wouldn't worry about the clutch being changed for 1+. If it's already on its way out, the additional torque from the 1 or 1+ makes it slip. If it's fine, you'll be fine driving normally.

Default bosch 386 - work great

I finally went to a stage 1 plus with the bosch injectors. APR does a great job with the software as the car runs great. No problems at all with this set up. T
