Default installing an Audi navigation unit

anyone have any tips on installing an Audi navigation unit into my A4? I have the Bose option with the Shark Fin antenna. Will I need any specialized cable harnesses?

i think there is an actual video of some guy showing you how to install the rns-e navi. it seemed pretty straight forward until he started taking out the speedometer dash.

I just put one in a A4 conv B7 2007. Easy to do. In the 2007 the cable is virtually plug and play. In some older units you need the adapter cables.

I put the GPS antenna in the triangle area on the outside edge of the glove box...easy to run the wire under the firewall and up to the open area where theradio goes. Tyewrap the antenna to the support bracket and don't wory about antenna orientation...i get 4 to 7 sats all the time
