i just used the cassetteadapter for the first time last nightinto the bose symphony stereo.

i was getting some weird "feedback like" sound thru the speakersas the ipod was playing. at first i thought that the volume on the ipod was too loud. it wasnt that. even when completely down, the noise was still coming thru.

its as if i was listening to an old tube style radio and it was trying to lock in onto a station. kinda creepy sounding actually. reminds me of the movie "white noise". is someone from thebeyond trying to get a hold ofme??! LOL

but in all seriousness, has anyone come across this problem and how did u take care of it.

I get the same sound, especially when mu Ipod is off. It doesnt bother me, thats just prolly the cassette quality.

 

get an ice-link, and do it right. or get an after market head-unit.

 

change the side of the casette by pressing the button with the equal and opposite arrow...

 

viviyer22 - thanks for that tip. i will give it a try and let you know if that worked. the ice-link sounds great but for now, am just looking for a quick fix. i dont use my ipod a whole lot anyways since i subscribe to xm.

Ok guys, I am getting a dice unit, and should be here today. I let you know how it goes. Where did you get the Ice-link, is it the gateway 100? Does it display the info on the radio and dash?
