i have a 02 a4 with the unitronics stage 1+ tuning. can i run a ko4 turbo with that tune? i know it won't be at it's peak performance, i just want to know if it's safe or not. i also have an upgraded smic and a cat-back exhaust which will help the flow of the ko4.

 

Yes since your ecu uses the maf readings and the wide band 02 sensor to keep the AFR in spec.

 

so still being on stock injcetors, could i upgrade the injectors, put a ko4 in the car and the ecu would adjust fuel to certian point correct? i'm running about 18psi, so the ko4 would be pushing a little more air at the same psi so i would probably need more fuel.

 

Yes, but how much more depends on how much your ecu is already pulling fuel back.


You can always log block 031 to make sure you stay within the spec AFR, when you start seeing the actual AFR get lean you will want to upgrade the injectors.
