Default Looking for New Brake Calipers...

I am looking to replace the brake calipers (one of many things for this spring) on my '02 A4 mainly just for cosmetic reasons. I like the look of the Brembo brakes, but they are completely overkill for my car. I am wondering if there are any other brake caliper manufacturers out there that can deliver a similar look, but at a fraction of the price?

Thanks for the help in advance.

The only ones i know of are brembo, k sport, rotora, stop tech, and WP pro. They all cost alot. about 2000 is the cheapest. If your not worried about preformance check out this link.

Just paint the stock ones if its only for cosmetic reasons.

+1 This would be the easiest (and cheapest) way to do it. Just make sure you don't paint the inside of the caliper....ask me how I know

Let's just say it involves having to take the rear brakes apart again, and getting the paint off the inside of the caliper. Otherwise the pads won't move the way they are supposed to and only the inside meets with the rotor. A royal PITA.

For cosmetic reasons, paint like stated above. For a little performance pick up some slotted or cross drilled rotors.

Note to self - don't do that.

There are some awesome videos on youtube of how to paint your calipers, some of which show you how without taking off your brakes saving all that labour. They stress using brake-grade paint, however.

I found this for $20 at Pep Boys, it was easy to use, and so far it hasn't faded.

Thanks for the link. Looks like painting them is the way to go... or at least to start with. Look at all the money I'll save too! Now I can go shop for exhaust!
