Default LOST MY KEY!!!

Being an idiot I lost my key. I do have the valet key so I can get around town.
Whats the most economical way of having another key made?

Thanks.

good luck !!!!!...when I bought my A4 it came with one fob and the emer. key.....getting a spare and a new fobhas become a very expensive matter.......I tried e bay and the dealership could not cut it, bought another one from a different supplier and the fob could not be programmed.....well, finally ended up paying over $300.00directly with thedealership...........uuurrrgghhh !!![:@]

$300 sounds about right. My dealer ship charges like:

$80 to have the key cut
$90 for a new fob
and the one that pisses me off the most, an hour of labor to program the damn thing. $90 in Northern Ohio.

the most economical way is to go to the dealer with some k-y and get a key made...

i hear you can get used keys on ebay or something and just get the key cut and then programmed, it might save you a few bucks

You can purchase the key on ebay, get it cut (some lock smith shops can do it for you or you can go to dealers), then program it yourself.
