i have a 2004 a4 3.0 with a 6 speed manual and just recently i've noticed that instead of the shifter snapping back into the center of the shift gate like it usually did, it goes back very slowly. the path of the shifter back into the center of the gate is unchanged, but it's so slow now, almost like it has something purposefully slowing it down.

it usually doesn't last long, but it's really annoying and makes the shifter itself feel like its stuck in some thick substance, slowing down my shifts substantially. anyone have any ideas as to whats wrong with it?
