Mass Air Flow or Vac

2003 A4 1.8quattro sport pkg. 74,000

So i got in my car to go to work today and the ESp light came on. Then on the way home the CEL light came on. Its not blinking like ti does when a coil pack goes bad but it stays on. Also its an auto and when going from park to reverse or drive there is sometimes a "jerk". So i checked a few posts on here and couldnt pinpoint a cause so i went up to autozone to get the code. came back MAF or VAC A circuit low input. This is the mass air flow sensor right? Just wanted to confirm before i but the part. Also is this a DIY or should i have my mechanic do it for my. The stuff ive done before on my car is oil, cabin air filter, engine air filter, coils, sparkplugs, and front lights so thats my knowledge level haha

yeah, could be a MAF sensor, most likely it is.
Before buying a new one, there is a MAF cleaner Attachment 43004
try cleaning it before buying a new one.
and it is easy.
