Default Mounting front plate

So after over 3 years of having no front plate but having it in the window. I finally got a ticket for not having a front plate mounted. Bought the car in PA where no front plate is required and never mounted it. So now I will do it, so I was wondering if I can just screw the plate to the bumper with no holder/bracket? It costs $140 for a stupid piece of plastic to hold your plate. So I figure just screwing the plate itself to the bumper would be ok???

Good idea. My lower grill is missing though, got some wire mesh there instead but could still work possibly.

there is also a plate holder that screws into your tow hook area. If u dont want to drill holes into a 500 dollar bumper. http://podi.ca/Accessories.aspx
