Default NEED HELP!! Brand new audi owner

Hey everyone

So i just bought an 04 audi a4 ultra sport with the 3.0 and 6 speed MT

I don't have a clue about Audi's, In my family we have owned a lot of Chrysler's and Volvo's. Im 17 and want to do a few changes to my car.

1st off i would love to know where you guys buy good parts for your car , like performance and exterior/interior accessories. Also as a new b6 owner i want to know what are the most popular changes done to the b6 platform,

i am interested in a CAI, a really nice exhaust system and ipod integration kit, maybe even HID kits or OEM hid lights,

Thank YOu

okay first of all u should use the search button sorry to say noob but i will chime in here
For good parts for our cars go to ecs tunning they have alot of stuff there. A cold air intake wont do any good on our cars our stock airbox provides sufficent amount of air and a CAI will only slow u down more. HID's can be purchased at ddm tunning for under 70 dollars for the entire kit. Install is easy as cake should take about 10 minutes. CC ur car is a must and check audizine audiworld a4mods lots of great info there. GOODLUCK

Hey bud Dont listen to the last thread there, I have a 2003 audi a4 3.0 quattro with the tiptronic tranny. You can gain from a cold air intake, I recently put one on my B6, however the factory air is a very good at airflow, but a cold air intake provides colder denser air witch prvides the power and will make any audi thrive with the high notes. Now were to get one I personally like andysautosport.com laots of stuff there good brands but some are a little expensive. Also if you are looking for the best exhaust you have to get a thermal Research exhaust its the best for our cars

^ Where is the filter element on that performance enhancing CAI? If it's still in the engine bay, I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but that is hardly colder denser air.

Congrats on the car. Since you're 3.slow, I have no idea what to tell you for performance, other than supercharger.
I would think if you've got a well-placed true CAI and not a warm air intake disguised as a CAI, you would have to improve something on the N/A V6.
But I don't know that for sure.
As for cosmetic mods, ask specifics and you'll get answers, since a B6 is a B6 in that respect.
I've no problems with not searching. We've all been there. And I just don't have time to search, because most times you have to sift through the ish to find what you were really looking for.

Not trying to thread-jack here, but what would be the best setup for the B6? I was thinking 55w ballast with a 6000K bulb....does that seem right to you guys?

If you really want to get into upgrading the performance of your car sell the 3.0 and get a 1.8T. But that probably isn't an option at this point. There isn't much you can do for the 3.0 minus a PES supercharger = $$$ and possibly blowing up your engine. For exhaust there's either Milltek or the Thermal Research. I have a custom cat-back Magnaflow system with an x-pipe... sounds bad *** but expensive. I have a hyperflow (not)CAI and didn't notice a difference at all over stock, but it sounds good. Basically anything you do to your Audi you'll find costs an arm and a leg. I've used stratmosphere.com, kineticmotorsports.com and shokan.com all with good experiences.

If you are thinking of getting a new bumper, you can sell your center bumper grille to me. Mine broke.
